GST1015 BASIC COMPUTER APPLICATIONS - 1 cr - ONLINE

PQ: Keyboarding rate of at least 20 wpm or consent of instructor.

Introduces students to basic computer applications of word processing, spreadsheet, Internet, and electronic mail. Software specific to the course includes Microsoft Office applications. Skills gained in the course will provide a foundation for using technology in other Northwestern courses. Students must submit assignments weekly. Test out opportunities are available with the exception that NWC day school students may not take the test out through Distance Education.
