Purpose:

The Northwestern College Parent Council engages parents in the College’s mission to provide Christ-centered higher education to students. The Council serves as a connecting point for parents, strengthening communication between parents and the College community.

Parent Council Members Commit To:
§ Attend meetings two times yearly, once in the fall and once in the spring
§ Represent the Council at one additional campus event each year (Orientation, Family Weekend, etc.)
§ Be available to communicate with current parents at events, through e-mail and by phone
§ Make contact with prospective parents through events and admissions programs
§ Participate in area Northwestern Gatherings
§ Support the College in prayer and financial giving, according to their means
§ Provide feedback and counsel to the College on significant issues
§ Serve on and/or chair a Parent committee
§ Serve as an ambassador for Northwestern College
